Bond $OHM, get $OHMV below the pool price
A bond takes your OHM, puts it into the locked OHMV/OHM pool for good, and pays you OHMV that unlocks over 24 hours. When the market is calm, that OHMV costs about 19–24% less than buying it with the same OHM.
Discount over time
A 10 OHM bond against buying with the same 10 OHM, rebuilt from every swap in the pool since launch. Above the line, bonding gets more OHMV; below it, buying does.
The 10-minute average is rebuilt from the swaps, so a point can differ from the contract's own quote by a fraction of a percent. The latest point is the contract's live quote. In the first hours the pool was small, so 10 OHM was a bigger slice of it and the gap could pass 24%.

Need OHM?
Bonds are paid in OHM v2 (0x64aa…f1D5), the Olympus token. Buy it on any Ethereum DEX or terminal, for example Axiom or Uniswap, then come back here.
How a bond works
- You send OHM to the bond contractIt quotes your OHMV first, from the price before your OHM touches the pool, so your own bond can't move your quote.
- The hook places your OHM in the locked poolIt sells about half for OHMV and adds both sides as full-range liquidity owned by the pool itself. Nobody can withdraw it. The half it sells pays the normal 5% fee, about 2.6% of the bond, and that fee is harvested like any other.
- New OHMV is minted to you, vesting over 24hOnly against OHM that actually went in. If the pool could only take part of it, the rest is refunded and you get OHMV in proportion.
- Claim whenever you likeIt unlocks in a straight line over 24 hours. Claim what has unlocked at any time, here or on the main site.
Why it exists. Bonds are how the pool grows without anyone selling. Every bond adds OHM that stays forever, so the backing behind every OHMV rises. The OHMV you receive is newly minted, and a bond can never lower backing per token.
Discount and premium
The live number at the top compares two ways of turning the same OHM into OHMV: bonding it, or buying with it on the pool. When it says "cheaper", bonding gets you more OHMV. When it says "pricier", buying does.
Your OHM × the token price × 1.20 (the 20% bond bonus), minus ~2.6% for the swap fee on the half the hook sells. The token price used is the lower of the current price and the 10-minute average. The average can only reduce a bond, never improve it.
Your OHM minus the 5% pool fee, swapped along the price curve. The bigger the buy, the further it pushes the price against itself (price impact). That's why bonds beat buying by more at bigger sizes.
When you get the full discount
When the price has been roughly steady for about 10 minutes, the average equals the current price and the full 20% bonus applies. A bond is then about 19% cheaper for small sizes and up to about 24% cheaper at the largest size allowed. 24% is the ceiling: nothing in the contracts can pay more.
When the discount shrinks or turns into a premium
- Right after a fast drop. The 10-minute average still reflects the higher price, so the bond quotes fewer OHMV. After a drop of about 15% within 10 minutes, the discount is roughly gone. After a bigger drop, a bond pays less than buying: the site shows it in red as "pricier". Wait a few minutes or buy instead.
- When OHMV trades close to backing. A bond can never mint OHMV for less OHM than already backs each token. If the price falls to about 1.2× backing, that cap starts to bite, and below it a bond is worse than buying. Right now the price is several times backing.
- Pumps don't hurt you. After a fast rise, the current price is lower than the average in OHMV-per-OHM terms, so the bond uses the current price and you still get the full bonus.

In a calm market, by size as a share of the pool's OHM:
| Bond size | Extra OHMV vs buying | Bond price |
|---|---|---|
| Tiny (≈0% of pool) | +23% | ≈ 19% cheaper |
| 2% of pool | +25–26% | ≈ 20% cheaper |
| 5% of pool | +29% | ≈ 22% cheaper |
| 7% of pool (largest allowed) | +31% | ≈ 24% cheaper · maximum |
Rules and limits
| Vesting | 24 hours, unlocking in a straight line from the moment you bond. Claim any time. |
| Bonding again | Allowed. Your unlocked OHMV is paid out first, then everything left plus the new bond vests over a fresh 24h. Bond once, or several times within a few minutes. |
| Largest bond | 7% of the pool's OHM per bond (this page and the main site check it). Each bond is placed with a single swap that may move the price at most ~8%. A larger bond would only be partly placed, and its minimum-output check would fail. Bond more in parts. |
| Smallest bond | No minimum in the contract. Very small bonds still pay normal gas (~0.0006 ETH at today's gas). |
| Slippage protection | This page sends a minimum output of 99% of the quote. If the price moves before your transaction lands, it fails cleanly instead of paying you less. |
| Backing cap | A bond can never mint below backing per token. That's why "a bond can never lower backing per token" holds every time. |
| Where your OHM goes | All of it goes into the locked pool, apart from the ~2.6% swap fee, which is split 40% back into the pool and 60% to ops at the next harvest. None of it can be withdrawn by anyone. |
| Gas | About 46K for the OHM approval (once per amount) and about 510K for the bond. Keep ~0.005 ETH in the wallet. |
Questions
Does "20% cheaper" mean I'm paying 20% more?
No. It means each OHMV costs you about 20% less through the bond than through a normal buy. Same thing in tokens: you get about 25% more OHMV for the same OHM.
Why does the discount change every few minutes?
Because the bond uses the lower of the current price and the 10-minute average, and because a market buy's price impact depends on how big the pool is. Both move with trading.
I saw a bond but no buy on the chart. Where did the OHM go?
Inside the bond transaction the hook sells about half the OHM for OHMV, then adds that OHMV plus the other half of the OHM to the pool as locked liquidity. That sell is a swap made by the hook itself, so most charts and the buy bot don't show it as someone's buy. The bonder's OHMV is newly minted and vests over 24 hours; it was never bought on the market. You can see the effect anyway: the price ticks up a little and the pool's OHM grows by the full bond.
Can I stake bonded OHMV?
Yes, once it's claimed. Claim what has unlocked, then stake it on /staking.
MetaMask shows a huge gas fee or "fee unavailable"
That means its simulation thinks the bond would fail. Usually you're on a different account than the one holding the OHM, or the bond is bigger than the current maximum. Check the connected address and the max shown above. Don't confirm a transaction with a strange fee.
What if I bond and the price drops?
Your OHMV amount is fixed when you bond. Its value moves with the price like any OHMV. The OHM you paid stays in the pool as backing either way.
